Occidental Fine Art Center
Fellowship Program


For the first time since the great patrons and the church supported artists, the Occidental Fine Art Center provides fully funded, one-year-plus fellowships allowing artists to focus entirely on creating some of the greatest art of their lifetime. Eight emerging artists receive full financial support, mentorship from master artists, and dedicated studio space to pursue ambitious traditional art.

Love Portrait Program
Commissioned Portraiture Initiative


A unique program where we follow the artist through the intimate process of deciding how to capture the spirit of the sitter. We document and film this creative journey as a precursor to our Seattle Prize project, revealing the profound connection between artist and subject in the creation of timeless portraits.
